Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Wake Forest, Zebulon, and Henderson is seeking empathetic In-Home Caregivers (CNA/PCA/HHA) to provide one-on-one care to clients in Wake Forest and nearby communities. This is a part-time or PRN role with flexible schedules and an assignment-based model.

You will support seniors in daily living, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping, with pay ranging from $14 to $18 per hour depending on credentials and assignments.

Qualifications

• Active, good-standing listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry or the NCDHHS Health Care Personnel Registry.
• Completed PCA or HHA training.
• Previous professional caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, memory care, senior care, or a related setting.
• Relevant personal caregiving experience with the ability to complete required training and competency evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Supporting safe transfers, walking, and mobility.
• Preparing meals and assisting with eating.
• Completing light housekeeping and laundry.
• Providing medication reminders.
• Assisting with grocery shopping and errands.
• Providing transportation when authorized as part of the assignment.
• Observing, documenting, and reporting changes in a client’s condition.
• Following the client’s established plan of care.
