Job summary

Compassus in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide one-on-one in-home care. You will support bathing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping, and daily activities, while reporting changes to the supervisor.

The role requires a valid California driver’s license, experience with older adults, and professional caregiving credentials. BLS certification should be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Experience working with older adults and/or physically disabled individuals.
• Professional caregiver experience, nursing student clinical experience, or active CNA certification required.
• Preferred: Active HCA registration (Home Care Aide).
• Preferred: 6 months professional caregiving experience.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, incontinence care, transfers, and ambulation.
• Provide meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Support daily activities and exercises as directed by the Plan of Care.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Build positive relationships with clients and families while delivering exceptional care.
