Job summary

Vravet is seeking an Experienced Technician / Assistant in the Oncology Department to support hospital operations with quality veterinary care and excellent client service. Responsibilities include examinations, diagnostics, surgery assistance, nursing care, patient handling, and medical record maintenance.

The role requires phlebotomy skills, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced veterinary setting; on-site work in Gaithersburg, MD, with a 40-hour, 4–5 shift schedule and 24/7

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills are essential.
• Strong communication and client service abilities.
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful environment.
• Ability to safely restrain animals using proper techniques.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examinations, interviews, and records review.
• Care for patients: vital signs, samples, meds, vaccines, wound care.
• Assist examinations and procedures; prepare supplies and move patients as directed.
• Maintain medical records and communicate with owners under supervision.
• Maintain sterile environment and inventory; perform routine cleaning and stocking.
