Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a skilled RN to triage oncology patients via phone, providing clinical guidance and education to patients, families, and caregivers. You will support ongoing care, triage symptoms, and coordinate with physicians and the care team in a remote work environment.

The role requires RN licensure in Florida, an ADN with BSN preferred, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and an active license in Florida or multi-state eligibility.
• An ADN is required with a BSN preferred for career advancement.
• OCN certification is a plus for oncology-specific care.
• BLS is required for all care team members.

Responsibilities

• Triages oncology patient calls regarding treatment, surgery, and appointments.
• Monitors and manages patient symptoms and concerns by phone.
• Addresses high-risk and complex patient care to reduce readmissions.
• Identifies barriers to care and connects patients with needed resources.
• Educates patients and families about chemotherapy, radiation, and infusion therapies.
• Supports physicians and APPs in patient/family interactions.
• Completes required clinical documentation with accuracy.
• Maintains professional boundaries and collaborates with the care team.
• Ensures clear communication to prevent fragmented or delayed care.
• Provides infusion floor/clinic coverage as needed.
