Job summary

American Traveler in Springfield, Illinois is seeking an experienced Travel RN in Oncology for a 13-week assignment starting 01/12/2026. The role requires IV therapy and chemotherapy administration in an acute care setting with 12-hour day shifts and options for 4x12 or 3x12 schedules, totaling 48 hours per week.

You will work in a Level I trauma center on a 24-bed Oncology unit, handle ports and central lines, and monitor lab values while ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or proof of application.
• Minimum 1 year of Oncology RN experience.
• Chemotherapy administration, monitoring, IV push, and spill management.
• IV therapy/infusion skills including ports and central lines.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Oncology unit within an acute care Level I trauma center.
• Day shift with options for 4x12 or 3x12 hour schedules, starting at 7:15 AM.
• Care for implanted ports and central lines; administer chemotherapy and manage infusions.
• Monitor labs and recognize abnormal values; follow body fluid protocols post-chemotherapy.
