Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for Med Surg and Oncology Telemetry on a full-time night shift (7p-7a) with weekend rotation. The role emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered care and collaboration with clinicians to ensure safe, effective treatment.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, document thoroughly, educate patients and families, and advocate for patients while upholding our commitment to quality and compassion across shifts.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN with nursing diploma/associate/bachelor degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and document care in medical record.
• Provide responsive, compassionate patient care and educate patients and families.
• Translate complex medical terms to ensure patient understanding.
