Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an Oncology Technician (PRN) to assist with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care to Oncology patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and clean environment and following all applicable regulations.

Minimum education is a High School Diploma/GED with Nursing as the minimum field of study. License requirements include CNA-related provisions with BLS certification.

Summary Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to Oncology population. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Adheres to rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

Minimum Licensure (Other)

CNA not required for students who have completed nursing fundamental course and are actively enrolled in nursing program (LPN, ASN, ADN, BSN). Must submit transcripts to department manager a minimum of twice per calendar year. Must provide authorization to test (ATT-NCLEX RN or ATT-NCLEX-PN, schedule and pass the test within 90 days of graduation from nursing program, as appropriate.

Training Required

• Successful completion of Moffitt’s Oncology Technician orientation and checklist within the first ninety days of employment.
• Basic familiarity with nursing procedures and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Fundamental computer skills.
• Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills.

Salary Range $21.50 - $21.50 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
