Rush University Medical Center's Oncology Specialty Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacist to support operations and fulfillment, including verification and dispensing of oral oncology and supportive care medications. The role collaborates with fulfillment technicians to ensure timely access and safe distribution of medications.

Clinical duties may include pharmacotherapy reviews, patient counseling, and provider support, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance within Rush policies.

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience in acute care setting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication.
• Licensed or license-eligible in Illinois.

Responsabilités

• Review and verify specialty pharmacy prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and safety.
• Support fulfillment operations for oral oncology and supportive care medications to ensure timely dispensing.
• Collaborate with fulfillment technicians to maintain efficient workflow and resolve operational issues.
• Assist with inventory management, monitor usage trends, and identify shortages or expiring products.
• Provide drug information and therapy recommendations to providers, nursing staff, patients and team members as appropriate.
• Counsel patients on oral oncology therapies and supportive care medications, including adherence and safety.
• Document clinical interventions and patient care activities per standards.
