The Oncology Sales Specialist will promote products within the oncology, hematology, or rare disease portfolio of Novartis Pharmaceuticals, focusing on sales performance, customer engagement, and digital tools to enhance market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.
  • Demonstrate leadership, self-awareness, and a passion for learning.
  • Deliver clear messages, handle objections, and close calls with actionable commitments.
  • Understand market landscape, competitors, and product data to optimize strategies.
  • Develop and execute call plans to improve access and sales.
  • Understand healthcare systems, EMRs, pathways, and account management.
  • Use sales data and social media to identify growth opportunities.
  • Adapt between digital and non-digital customer engagement methods.
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or similar sales roles.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, communicate complex clinical information, and perform consistently at high levels.
  • Reside within or near the territory (within 50 miles) and able to travel 60-80% with a valid driver’s license.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience with therapeutic groups, disease states, and product launches.
  • Knowledge of patient services, market access, reimbursement, and medical calling.

Position levels vary from Oncology Representative to Senior Oncology Specialist based on experience. Driving is an essential function.
