City of Hope, a leading cancer treatment and research center, seeks a Social Worker II to provide patient-centered psychosocial care and education. The role covers Lancaster and Santa Clarita, with regular travel between sites and onsite coverage in Santa Clarita 1–2 days per week.

Requirements include an MSW from a CSWE-accredited school, 2 years medical social work, oncology experience preferred, and CA LCSW/ACSW licensure with exam completion within one year.

Formación

• MSW from CSWE-accredited program required.
• Two years of medical social work experience.
• Oncology social work experience preferred.
• LCSW or ACSW licensure in California with exam in 1 year.

Responsabilidades

• Provides timely, appropriate, reliable social work services to patients and families.
• Delivers care consistent with professional and City of Hope standards.
• Uses decision-making and problem-solving in patient care and administrative needs.
• Documents clearly in compliance with state and Joint Commission standards.
• Liaises with psychiatry, psychology, palliative care, and other services.

Educación

Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE- Accredited School of Social Work

Two years medical social work

One-year oncology social work (Preferred)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) with CA BBS; pass LCSW exam within 1 year
