Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CA Accredited School of Social Work.
• Five years medical social work experience.
• Two or more years post licensure experience.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or eligible/associates.
• CSW III must obtain LCSW in CA within one year or be demoted.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, and supportive counseling across the cancer care continuum.
• Mentor MSWs and supervise students; lead educational initiatives.
• Lead weekend/after-hours coverage and crisis response; engage in process improvement.
• Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams; participate in rounds and referrals.
• Represent the department in internal and community-facing roles.
