Job summary

Vitalief is seeking an experienced Oncology RN to transition into clinical research at a leading New Brunswick, NJ center. This full-time role includes comprehensive on-the-job training with no prior research experience required, and a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with one remote workday per week after training.

You will support Phase II–IV oncology trials, coordinate with physicians and research teams, and learn systems such as OnCore and EPIC while advancing patient care and study

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience in hospital, outpatient, or clinic.
• At least one year of oncology unit nursing experience.
• Oncology GI experience is a big plus.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Willingness to learn clinical research systems such as OnCore and EPIC.
• Previous clinical research experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support Phase II–IV oncology trials, primarily involving investigational drugs and biologics within GI cancers.
• Coordinate clinical trial activities with physicians and research teams.
• Provide patient-centered oncology nursing care during clinic sessions.
• Review medical records and assess patient eligibility against trial criteria.
• Assist with patient identification, informed consent, enrollment, and study management.
• Review treatment plans to ensure safety and protocol adherence.
• Coordinate patient follow-up and research-related tasks during participation.
• Verify study requirements and maintain accurate research records.
• Support activation of new trials using OnCore™, and document SAEs per regulations.
• Collaborate to ensure GCP and institutional policy compliance.
• Balance clinic duties with research documentation on non-clinic days.
