Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, IL seeks an experienced oncology RN to provide inpatient care for adults on the Oncology unit (30 beds). You will deliver chemotherapy/biotherapy, manage palliative care, and ensure high-quality patient care with accurate documentation.

BSN is not required but a Nursing diploma is expected; BLS is required within 30 days. The unit promotes shared governance and supports education and mentorship for new grads and ongoing certification.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Educational background: College Diploma in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and start IVs per unit protocols.
• Deliver chemotherapy/biotherapy and palliative care per charted orders.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support patient care and safety.
