Job summary
CentraState Healthcare System, in partnership with Atlantic Health, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join Oncology 3 East in Freehold, NJ. The unit recently expanded from 11 to 25 beds, with emphasis on teamwork and multidisciplinary care.
The RN provides evidence-based nursing care, adheres to ANA standards, and participates in ongoing education and quality improvement. Requirements include NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS within one year, and a BSN within three years.
Qualifications
- Current NJ RN license and BLS certification.
- ACLS certification to be achieved within first year.
- Oncology/chemotherapy nursing experience preferred.
- Graduate of CentraState Nursing Residency or equivalent acute care RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Provides culturally sensitive, evidence-based nursing care.
- Documents nursing history, care plan, interventions and outcomes.
- Administers medications following policy and manufacturer instructions.
- Recognizes changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate actions.
- Participates in quality improvement and unit conferences.
- Acts as a resource and mentor to staff and students.
