Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to provide direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team. The role focuses on evidence-based nursing practice, care coordination, and patient education across a variety of complex cases.

The position requires an active NJ RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and at least 6 months of nursing experience or Nurse Residency participation. Oncology experience and BSN or progress toward it are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the State of New Jersey is required
• BLS/CPR Certification by American Heart Association is required
• Six (6) or more months of nursing experience is required OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program
• Oncology nursing experience is preferred
• BSN is preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire
• OCN is preferred
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with strong teamwork and accountability

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team to a variety of patients
• Directs and oversees care by delegating and coordinating with other caregivers
• Coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services
• Documents nursing assessments, plans, interventions and outcomes
• Administers medications with bar-scanning and documentation accuracy
• Ensures safe patient transitions and discharge planning with continuity of care

Education

RN license in New Jersey

BSN preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years
