Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Nurse (RN) to support the Cancer Center in Boston. The role focuses on indirect patient care for oncology patients, with priorities on complex care and timely triage to advanced practice providers and oncologists.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN with 3–5 years of oncology experience, MA RN licensure, and chemotherapy/immunotherapy/biotherapy credentials; OCN is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required; oncology nursing experience preferred.
• 3–5 years oncology nursing experience.
• Massachusetts RN license; chemotherapy/immunotherapy/biotherapy credentials required; OCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide indirect patient care to oncology patients.
• Conduct initial nursing evaluations and develop care plans.
• Assist with daily telephone triage and urgent medical problems.
• Coordinate infusions and injections as needed.
• Assess psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Manage ongoing patient care via telephone (prescriptions, teaching).
• Attend and participate in team meetings as required.
• Document relevant patient information in EPIC.
• Collaborate with practice staff (RN, research, APP, MD, Admin, MA/PCA).
• Maintain communication with healthcare team members.
