Job summary

Mary Washington Oncology is seeking a Level III Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Clinic Oncology. This full-time day position leads nursing care, coordinates interdisciplinary teams, and supports patient education and discharge planning.

Requirements include a BSN, Virginia RN license (or compact state), and AHA BLS CPR at hire. ONC/ONS within 1 year and specialty certification within 1 year are expected for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a minimum of two years of RN experience.
• BSN required.
• Valid RN license from Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• ONS/ONCC required within 1 year.
• Applicable specialty certification required within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with interdisciplinary teamwork to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinate patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate the plan of care to health team members.
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement.
