Job summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures in CoxHealth’s 700 West Medical Oncology unit. You assess patient condition, administer medications, monitor vitals, change dressings, and educate patients and families.

Our 17-room unit is mostly private beds, and nurses work with a multidisciplinary team using the latest technology, including a virtual nursing program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and administer medications.
• Monitor vital signs and change dressings.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
