Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the oncology unit CB2, providing care to solid tumor and hematologic cancer patients, with expansion to med-surg overflow as needed. Under Nurse Manager supervision, you will apply evidence-based practices and coordinate care for patients and families.

The role requires CT RN licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification. ASN is required with BSN within six years, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role)
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to oncology patients, including solid tumor and hematologic malignancies, and manage med-surg overflow as needed.
• Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
• Develop and implement a care plan using the nursing process to address physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and families.
