Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited College of Nursing.
• BLS Certified.
• Valid and current Arkansas state nursing license.
• Valid Arkansas Driver’s License (if travel is required).
• Chemotherapy certification required within 90 days of hire for all Medical Oncology and Infusion nursing positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site patient care, coordinating care with physician and staff.
• Provide patient teaching on disease, treatment information, and counseling options.
• Triage telephone calls, resolve issues, and coordinate with physician.
• Administer/evaluate new and existing programs/protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and document nursing actions.
• Coordinate patient care with homecare or other services.
• Maintain hematology/oncology expertise and knowledge of biotherapy/infusion drugs.
