Job summary

St. Mary-Corwin in Pueblo, CO, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care.

You will facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual patient needs while advancing nursing excellence. You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, administer medications and IV therapy, document accurately, educate patients and families, and ensure safety in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma/endorsement required.
• RN license in state of employment required.
• Physical requirements: Medium work with lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and evaluate patient response to interventions.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Maintain thorough and confidential patient charts; document status, interventions, and outcomes; use IT for communication and decision-making.
• Promote and advocate for patient health and safety and patient rights.
• Provide patient/family education by assessing learning readiness, needs, and teaching effectiveness.
