Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care, planning, implementing and evaluating treatment with the nursing process. You will collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality outcomes for diverse patient populations.

The role requires an RN license, BSN consideration within four years, and BLS-HCP certification upon hire or within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• RN with ASN/ADN must complete BSN within four years from hire unless the RN has 15+ years of proven continuous RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Any RN employed by St Vincent, Good Samaritan, St. Joseph, or Lutheran Medical Centers as of 2014 with only an ASN/ADN will be exempt from this requirement.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or within 60 days with prior approval. (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate).

Responsibilities

• Assess, recognize and address patients psychological and physical needs
• Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind
• Communicate compassionately and effectively
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines
• Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs
• Participate in clinical team conferences
• Follow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and procedures
• Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.
• Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
• See and read computer monitors and documents.
• Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
• May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.
