The role requires CA RN license, CPR, and an ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic hospital environment. 4/10 or 5/8 schedules are available; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program with a diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current California RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Oncology experience preferred, but not required.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy within 3 months of hire.
• Strong customer service background in healthcare.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in computer processing functions and EMR.
• M-F Schedule - 4/10 or 5/8 available.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and others to understand care needs.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Promotes patient independence by teaching about conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Adheres to standards of care and regulations, and coordinates with the care team to adjust plans as needed.
• Resolves patient problems using a multidisciplinary approach.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment and follows policies and procedures.
• Adheres to infection-control and medication safety protocols.
• Documents patient care services in records and communicates actions clearly.
• Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting actions and needs.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Ensures equipment operation via maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintains nursing supplies inventory and orders as needed.
• Updates professional knowledge through education and conferences.
• Maintains cooperative relationships with health care teams.
