Job summary

The Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center in Eugene, Oregon, is actively seeking an RN - Clinical Research Coordinator. This role involves coordinating with the medical and research team, guiding patients through trial processes, and ensuring compliance with US Oncology standards.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). Oncology experience and SoCRA/ACRP certification are preferred but passion for clinical work

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a clinical or scientific related discipline; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• RN License in OR required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical or scientific experience, preferably in oncology.
• Oncology research experience preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.
• SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens potential patients for protocol eligibility.
• Presents trial concepts and details to patients, participates in informed consent, and enrolls patients on protocol.
• Coordinates patient care in compliance with protocol requirements.
• May disburse investigational drug and provide patient teaching regarding administration.
• Maintains investigational drug accountability.
• Collaborates with physician to review patient condition, adverse events, and protocol compliance; documents findings.
• Responsible for accurate data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting.
• Schedules and participates in monitoring and auditing activities.
• Maintains regulatory documents in accordance with SOP and regulations.
• Participates in required training and education programs.
• Educates clinic staff regarding clinical research.
• May collaborate with Research Site Leader in study selection.
• Other duties as assigned.
