Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support chemotherapy administration and patient care at Yorkville & Upper East Side locations in NYC. This role involves monitoring patients, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to cancer care protocols.

The ideal candidate holds a NY RN license with BLS, strong assessment skills, and the ability to educate patients and families about treatment expectations and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, and supportive care medications as prescribed by a physician.
• Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.
• Monitor and chart vital signs; document in the MAR.
• Collaborate with a healthcare team to share expertise and knowledge.
• Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol.
• Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment expectations and follow-up care.
