Inova Research Center seeks a dedicated Research Pharmacist Coordinator - Oncology to join the team. This full-time day shift role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation eligibility. The Inova system is a top employer in the D.C.

metro area, with strong patient safety and quality commitments. Key responsibilities include developing treatment guidelines, resolving cost-effective medication use issues, and providing clinical pharmacotherapy guidance to staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Education: PharmD or Bachelor in Pharmacy.
• Experience: 3 years oncology pharmacist experience or ASHP PGY1 or 3 years pharmacist research.
• Licensed Pharmacist in VA.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Facilitates development and implementation of treatment guidelines, protocols, formulary changes, and critical pathways.
• Identifies and resolves cost-effective medication use issues with medical staff.
• Provides clinical consultation to practitioners and patients on cost-effective therapies.
• Monitors drug therapy for interactions, contraindications, ADRs, and dosing suitability.
• Performs all Pharmacy functions and duties.
• Educates patients on pharmaceutical care and drug therapy.
• Trains and educates Pharmacists and Pharmacy students.
• Prepares and presents drug reviews and reports to Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
• Participates in community educational programs and professional presentations.
