Job summary

Texas Oncology in Beaumont is seeking a Medical Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team. This full-time position supports the Medical Oncology department at the Beaumont Cancer Center, with hours 8:30am–5pm, Monday–Friday, and no weekend, call, or major holidays. The role can be Level 1, 2, or Senior based on experience.

Ideal candidates have oncology nursing background, BLS, RN license; BSN preferred. Level 1 requires 0–3 years oncology experience, Level 2 requires 3–5 years, and Level Sr 5

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN license in practicing state and current BLS.
• 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
• Level 2 requires 3-5 years nursing experience including oncology.
• Level Sr requires five years nursing experience including oncology.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
• Provide teaching and psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitates clinical operations and patient care, including medication management and scheduling.
• Triages patient needs and coordinates services with the interdisciplinary team.
• Act as a resource to LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.
