Job summary

Alliance Cancer Specialists in Bensalem is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our oncology care team. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in collaboration with physicians and the care team to support patients through their cancer journey.

The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, current RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience with oncology preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (oncology experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in accordance with national standards and oncology-specific guidelines.
• Assess patient health status through interviews, physical exams, and review of medical history.
• Administer medications, blood products, and therapies under physician supervision.
• Perform venipuncture, access ports, and maintain central line devices.
• Monitor lab results and collaborate with physicians on dose modifications and symptom management.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and available resources.
• Provide psychosocial support and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols.
• Assist with scheduling, triaging patient calls, and managing medication refill requests.
• Serve as a mentor to LPNs, MAs, and less experienced nurses.
• Participate in professional development and stay current with oncology nursing best practices.
