Job Description
The Oncology Regional Trainer (ORT) supports and facilitates the learning of activities for our U.S. Oncology commercial facing roles within our Company, and supports the design, development and execution of the annual learning plan to achieve business results. The role reports to a U.S. Oncology Learning Director and collaborates with Oncology Learning Consultants and Oncology Learning Partners in the execution of the U.S. Oncology L&D strategy through consulting and delivery of national and/or regional learning solutions. This role will be focused on training capabilities in the Business of Oncology in addition to supporting clinical and sales needs for Oncology customer facing positions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Remain current on learning and development related tools, techniques, strategies and practices to provide relevant, informed consultative insight.
- Establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with Oncology Sales management to understand training needs and performance gaps, prioritizing training capacity within the region.
- Apply high understanding of key market dynamics and trends in oncology to support field sales positioning our products and services with Business of Oncology grounded training.
- Train skills to effectively understand payer and pathway controls, ensuring compliance while addressing customer challenges and engagement opportunities.
- Deliver training and support local subject matter experts in providing training at sales meetings.
- Discuss timely feedback on learning effectiveness to the business and recommend improvements.
- Review ad-hoc learning activities and requests; recommend and support design and development of new learning assets as needed.
- Drive onboarding of oncology sales representatives and oncology key account managers in field (with sales management), emphasizing proficiency in scientific knowledge, business acumen, account management and selling effectiveness.
- Reinforce training as a continuum by executing and reinforcing learning and development initiatives delivered to Oncology CBL nationally, regionally and locally.
- Participate in the facilitation and execution of the live portion of new hire training.
- Training Delivery: Effectively deliver or facilitate training in face-to-face and virtual instructor led sessions; solid understanding of technology as a training medium.

- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to manage through change and ambiguity; effective prioritization skills.
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Education or Science preferred)
- Master’s Degree (Business, Education or Science preferred)
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 10 years related experience with at least 3 years of Oncology commercial experience and developing/facilitating/delivering Oncology learning solutions.

- L&D Policies, Standards, and Procedures: Knowledge of industry and organization standards, procedures, and policies relevant to staff learning and development.
- Adult Learning: Experience applying adult learning principles to meet dynamic business needs.
- Learning Needs Analysis: Experience assessing competency gaps and identifying learning needs for individual and organizational performance.
- Training Delivery: Ability to effectively deliver or facilitate training in face-to-face and virtual instructor led sessions.
Travel & Work Arrangement
- Field-based position covering the Nation.
- Requires 50% travel.
- Remote work is available; however, on-site attendance is required for field-based roles.

Salary Range
$139,600.00 – $219,700.00
