Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in radiation therapy to administer prescribed treatments to patients. You will ensure proper patient identification, explain procedures, and monitor responses during treatment in collaboration with department physicians.

The role includes preparing treatment rooms, maintaining charts, and supervising students as needed. The candidate must hold ARRT-T certification and CPR/BLS; a Fluoroscopy Permit and TRT are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience in radiologic technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification.
• Explain procedures to patient, means of communication during treatment, and basic treatment procedure.
• Deliver prescribed daily dose to patient, observing radiation safety measures for patient and personnel.
• Prepare room and equipment for patient according to prescription or simulation, and immobilization devices.
• Transfer patient to treatment couch and monitor for reactions or complications.
• Maintain patient charts and treatment records; supervise students and evaluate their performance.
