Job description

Adelphi is seeking Board Certified Radiation Oncologists to provide care to patients at a facility in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The physicians will work in coordination with hematology/oncology and surgical subspecialties to ensure that patients with malignancies receive comprehensive care including consultation, treatment planning, weekly patient treatment visits, and follow-up care in the outpatient and inpatient setting.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:
• Provide patient simulation, radiation treatment plan and prescription.
• Provide direct clinical and administrative oversight for mid-level practitioners, physics, dosimetry, radiation therapists and other clinical staff as assigned.
• Work with the Chief, Radiation Oncology Service, and other disciplines to support, contribute to and implement policies, performance goals, strategic plans.
• Responsible for implementing the goal of improving care for patients within the Medical Center.
• Design and carry out treatment plans to meet specific treatment objectives.
• Evaluate, monitor, and report on treatment results.
• Provide services in an efficient, high-quality, cost effective manner.
• Participate in shared on-call.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
