Job summary

The US Oncology Network in Knoxville is seeking a Pre-Certification Specialist to assist providers with obtaining prior authorizations for medications and treatments. In this role, you will leverage your customer service skills to communicate with payors and ensure timely patient care.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of authorization requirements and experience in a medical office setting. This fully onsite position requires at least one year of relevant experience and proficiency with health records and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Your knowledge of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or other infusion treatment authorization requirements is a key asset.
• You provide exceptional customer service through respectful communication and thorough listening.
• You can promptly communicate feedback to physicians and staff regarding payor issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with obtaining prior authorization from insurance for medications and treatments.
• Communicate with payors to prevent delays in treatment plans.
• Field questions from clinic teams and help troubleshoot issues.
