Hematology Oncology Associates of CNY (HOACNY) is hiring a full-time Preauthorization Specialist to join our professional team. The role supports insurance benefits and preauthorizations across three Syracuse-area locations, Monday–Friday day hours, with comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate has experience with preauthorization processes, familiarity with Medicare, and strong communication skills to resolve issues and ensure timely patient access to care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient insurance benefits and preauthorization processes.
• Experience obtaining medical insurance benefits from various insurers including Medicare.
• Strong phone skills and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to changes in processes.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document preauthorizations for services.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and providers to resolve authorization issues.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely approvals to support patient care.
