Hematology Oncology Associates of Central New York (HOACNY) is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Tech to join as a Preauthorization Specialist. The role focuses on understanding insurance benefits, obtaining preauthorizations, referrals, and navigating payer requirements across three locations in East Syracuse, Camillus and Auburn.

The ideal candidate will have strong phone skills, problem-solving ability, and teamwork orientation to support efficient approvals for cancer care services.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical insurance benefits and preauthorization process.
• Understanding of what patient documentation is needed for approvals.
• Familiarity with peer-to-peer/appeal processes if approvals fail.
