Job summary

Virginia Cancer Specialists in Fairfax, VA, affiliated with US Oncology, seeks a full-time Accountant to support month-end close across practices. You will prepare entries, manage accruals, and work with practice Controllers to ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
Strong GAAP knowledge and month-end close understanding.

Responsibilities

Prepares monthly close of all practices and management companies for accuracy and completeness.
Ensures monthly accruals are recorded appropriately.
Collaborates with practice Controllers for information and explanations.
Ensures compliance with Management Services Agreements (MSA) and accurate accounting for new practices.
Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly with detailed support.
Reviews monthly Reporting Package for accuracy and completeness.
Delivers Reporting Packages to Controllers on time and responds promptly to inquiries.
Produces practice-specific reporting as requested.
Maintains fixed assets records including depreciation; supports asset system implementation.
Assists in annual budgeting for all practices.
