Job summary

Virginia Cancer Specialists, affiliated with McKesson Specialty Health and US Oncology, is seeking an experienced Full Time Accountant to join our Administrative office in Fairfax, Virginia. This role supports month-end close, reporting, and compliance under US Oncology standards.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least two years of experience, with strong attention to detail and collaboration with practice controllers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related curriculum.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly close of all practices and management companies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures accruals are made appropriately each month.
• Works with practice Controllers to obtain information and explanations.
• Ensures compliance with Management Services Agreements for all practices and accurate opening balances.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly with valid detail.
• Reviews monthly Reporting Package for accuracy and completeness.
• Submits Reporting Packages to Controllers timely and meets reporting deadlines.
• Maintains fixed assets records including depreciation and helps implement asset systems.
• Assists in the annual budgeting process for all practices.
