UCLA Health in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide oncology patient care under a delegated supervision framework. The PA will participate in rounds, educate patients and families, and coordinate referrals to ensure safe continuity of care.

The role requires CA PA licensure, graduation from an accredited PA program, national board certification, and BLS. Work hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm, with an indefinite term and a salary range of $83.46-$112.31 per hour.

Qualifications

• CA PA license required.
• Graduation from an accredited PA program required.
• National PA Board Certification required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• NPI and DEA numbers required.
• Ability to use Excel, Word and other software programs required.
• 1-3 years of outpatient/inpatient PA experience preferred.
• Previous experience with medication management preferred.
• Strong English medical terminology and communication skills required.
• Ability to interview patients of different ages and cultures required.
• Knowledge of physician/patient assessment and lab values required.
• Knowledge of patient education required.
• Problem solving skills required.
• PC skills for patient data management required.
• Knowledge of coordinating interdisciplinary resources preferred.
• Knowledge of wound care and treatment required.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workloads.
• Ability to follow physician orders and policies required.
• Knowledge of UCLA Health policies and procedures preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow through with directions required.
• Accurate documentation of patient care required.
