Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital, a Mass General Brigham affiliate, is seeking an Inpatient Responding Clinician (Physician Assistant) to join the inaugural Hematology Oncology Inpatient Service at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. This is a full-time/part-time/per-diem opportunity supporting inpatient oncology patients with a collaborative care model.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies required.
  • Massachusetts Physician Assistant license required.
  • Experience as a licensed PA preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, counseling, and education to inpatient oncology patients.
  • Perform histories and physical examinations to guide care planning.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate labs, imaging, and diagnostics.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans with follow-up.
  • Prescribe medications and manage treatments per policy.
  • Complete accurate admission, progress, and discharge documentation.
  • Perform bedside procedures as appropriate for the role.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure safe transitions.
