UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Beaver Network in Beaver, PA seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join the team, supporting sterile and nonsterile medication preparation, labeling, dispensing, and distribution. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to regulations in a cancer care setting.

The incumbent will work daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with potential to float to nearby sites as needed. A $5,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive total rewards package accompany this full-time

Responsabilidades

• Filling: Assist in filling medication orders through correct labeling, counting and stocking practices. Initial and date products as required.
• Prepare oral and injectable medications (including intravenous admixtures and TPN) for the correct patient at the proper time using proper aseptic techniques.
• Work in the Sterile Product area preparing cytotoxic and hazardous drugs (e.g., chemotherapy) with proper aseptic technique.
• Distribute medications, manage medication cassettes, emergency carts, and delivery of controlled substances per policy and state/federal requirements.
• Retrieve discontinued medications and return them to the appropriate area, ensuring proper documentation and accountability.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure proper hand hygiene and safety practices across the unit and pharmacy areas.
• Use computer systems to process patient information and maintain records; manage inventory and stock levels daily.
• Support training of staff and students, and assist in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
