Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing, patient communications, and inventory control. The role involves supervised sterile compounding and handling investigational medications under pharmacist supervision.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited technician program, Florida RPhT licensure, and experience with pharmacy automation and EHR systems. Training provided, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program.
Licensed as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) per Florida Statutes 465.014.
2 years of pharmacy technician experience with relevant systems and inventory control.
Ability to perform sterile compounding, including hazardous/non-hazardous meds, with training.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists by processing prescriptions and reviewing records.
Coordinate with patient, provider, and team for care and refill requests.
Operate pharmacy automation systems and maintain inventory accuracy.
Prepare sterile injections and investigational meds following USP/GCP guidelines.
