Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is hiring a Registered Pharmacy Technician for the Rx To Go program. The role supports intake, adherence, and dispensing workflows across multiple lines, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine pharmacy technician duties in Rx To Go.
• Multi-task across software programs and manage multiple lines.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external contacts.
• Document information accurately and professionally.
• Use medical and pharmacy terms correctly and clearly.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor under pharmacist supervision.
• Handle intake insurance data entry and verify benefits.
• Provide exceptional service to patients, staff, insurers, vendors.
• Be first point of contact for calls, emails, and internal communications.
• Coordinate with pharmacy teams to expedite services.
• Document and support therapy adherence under supervision.
• Maintain medication information, reconcile doses, and update orders for delivery/pickup.
• Assist with billing and insurance-related issues and audit support.
• Dispense and distribute oral oncology medications under supervision.
