Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking an Oncology pharmacy technician to support patient care in the infusion center. The technician will prepare medications while adhering to safety standards and contribute to the efficient workflow of the center. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED, relevant experience, and must achieve National Pharmacy Technician Certification within six months of hire. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Job description

Job Summary

  • The Oncology pharmacy technician must be committed to supporting the mission and goals of the infusion center to ensure provision of excellent patient care. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the oncology pharmacy technician will be expected to safely and accurately prepare chemotherapeutics and other medications for patients while following USP 797 and USP 800 regulations and standards.
  • Other tasks may include assignments to help support the goals of the infusion center and support efficient workflow.

Dayshift Training 7:00am - 3:30pm/ After training schedule is, (4) 10 hour shifts 7:00am-5:30pm

  • High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

Experience

Certification and Licensure

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) (must be obtained within 6 months of hire date)
