Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support Oncology and Infusion therapy medication distribution. You will assist pharmacists with processing orders, preparing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring timely patient access to therapies.

Responsibilities include sterile IV prep, use of Pyxis cabinets, and collaboration with clinicians to uphold safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of sterile IV compounding and chemotherapy preparation experience required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure or Pharmacy Intern license required.
• National certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, package, and distribute medications for inpatient care areas.
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis), including medication loading, inventory management, and troubleshooting.
• Process and prioritize medication orders, including urgent STAT requests.
• Prepare sterile IV admixtures and chemotherapy medications using aseptic technique.
• Deliver medications and supplies to nursing units and patient care areas.
• Maintain medication inventory, stock pharmacy work areas, and assist with drug order receiving and storage.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Follow all hospital, pharmacy, and regulatory policies to ensure medication safety and operational excellence.
