Job summary
AdventHealth in Calhoun, GA seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to dispense medications and manage sterile compounding in a busy hospital setting. You will ensure accurate dosing, support inventory and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with healthcare staff to maintain seamless service across shifts.
Requires a High School Grad or Equiv, 1+ year hospital experience, and an active Registered Pharmacy Technician credential.
Qualifications
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
- 1+ year hospital pharmacy experience required.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required.
Responsibilities
- Independently dispenses patient-specific medication doses with accuracy.
- Manages sterile preparations, including chemotherapy, per USP guidelines.
- Maintains inventory, orders stock, and ensures cold chain custody.
- Supports safety initiatives and complies with USP 800 guidelines.
- Collaborates with nurses and clinicians to optimize patient care.
- Mentors technicians and supports onboarding.
