Job summary

Moffitt seeks a registered Pharmacy Technician for PRN, onsite at Magnolia Hospital in Tampa, FL. You will work under a licensed pharmacist, performing delegated tasks in patient care, prescription processing, and drug preparation in line with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Graduated from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program or licensure as required by Florida statutes.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT/RPT) in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform pharmacy tasks under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Initiate or receive communications with patient/provider teams to facilitate patient care (refill authorizations, appointment reviews, medical records review, insurance authorization).
• Process prescriptions, including investigational medications in compliance with CFR and GCP guidelines.
• Assist in compounding, preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical and investigational preparations per USP standards and hospital policy.
• Inventory stewardship, maintain records and generate required reports by law.
