Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research in Pittsburgh is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support safe and cost‑effective preparation of chemotherapy, biologic therapy, and supportive care medications for patient administration. The role will collaborate with Site Leaders and Pharmacists to keep inventories balanced and compliant with regulations.

Work involves aseptic preparation, accurate documentation, and generating drug accountability reports, with a Monday–Friday schedule at START Pittsburgh.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current State registration as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) required.
• At least 2 years of experience with chemotherapy and biologic therapies.

Responsibilities

• Mix and label chemotherapy, biologic therapy and supportive care medications.
• Maintain inventory control and generate drug accountability reports.
• Prepare parenteral dosage forms using aseptic techniques per USP and GCP.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and documentation of medications.
• Interact with monitors for drug accountability and storage logs.
