Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an experienced inpatient oncology pharmacist to serve as pharmacy coordinator, delivering clinical pharmacy services, order verification, and patient care.

You will lead medication-related initiatives, educate staff, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, evidence-based drug therapy for adult hematology/oncology patients; and contribute to education of students and residents.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to practice pharmacy in North Carolina
• BS or PharmD degree required; PGY1/Residency preferred
• 2+ years of practice experience preferred; board certification or residency acceptable

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employees and schedules; assist with recruitment and onboarding of staff
• Lead medication-related activities such as shortage planning and workflow development
• Partner with physicians to provide clinical pharmacy services and promote evidence-based drug therapy
• Educate medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff on therapy management and monitoring
• Contribute to student and resident education and participate in related lectures/research
