Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to lead clinical programs, supervise non-pharmacist staff, and mentor IPPE, APPE, and PGY-1 residents. You will actively round with the interdisciplinary team, develop medication therapy plans, and help implement new clinical services across the hospital.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D preferred.
• Hospital experience and/or Residency preferred.
• CT Pharmacist license.
• Direct patient care across neonate to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise non-pharmacist personnel and ensure workflow and IV checks.
• Assess non-formulary item needs and contact physician for substitutions.
• Verify orders for dose, allergies, interactions, and monitor labs before dispensing.
• Notify physicians/nurses of potential problems via log.
• Maintain C-II inventory and file forms properly.
• Advise on drug interactions, side effects, and administration.
• Participate in department programs and projects.
