Job summary

The University of Miami Health System's Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to ensure safe, cost-effective medication use and accurate delivery to patients, under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy. The role involves central IV admixture program supervision, chemotherapy preparation, unit-dose distribution, drug information support, and collaboration with physicians and nurses.

Requires Pharm.D.

Qualifications

Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
Current licensure in good standing in the State of Florida.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor and supervise centralized IV admixture program with focus on chemotherapeutic therapies.
Ensure accurate preparation and delivery of total parenteral nutrition, injectable chemotherapy, antibiotics and other meds for IV therapy.
Review patient profiles and orders to prevent drug interactions and contraindications.
Provide drug information to health care professionals and patients and support rational drug therapy.
Supervise unit-dose drug distribution to inpatients and outpatient services.
Train and supervise staff and externs in hospital pharmacy policies and procedures.
