Job summary

NurseAmerica is seeking an Oncology Pharmacist in Saranac Lake, NY to ensure safe, effective chemotherapy preparation and management. The role collaborates with oncology providers and nursing staff to optimize patient care.

The ideal candidate is a licensed NY pharmacist, with advanced oncology training (PGY2/BCOP preferred) and experience in chemotherapy regimens, regulatory standards, and clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist licensed in New York.
• PGY2 Oncology Residency and/or BCOP preferred.
• 1–5+ years experience in chemotherapy preparation/evaluation.
• Familiarity with USP 797/800 and sterile compounding standards.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate chemotherapy inventory and par levels.
• Review chemotherapy orders for safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate with providers to optimize vial sizes and dosing.
• Coordinate with oncology department on prescribing practices and reconciliation.
